DiploHack-Health On! – Mobile Healthcare Solutions for Rural India, 3-4 June 2015.
Vihara Innovation Network (VIN), Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Startup Tunnel, NASSCOM 10000 Startups joined forces in a healthcare focused hackathon. Healthcare in remote areas of the country is often impaired due to lack of reach and implementation of services. The mission of this hackathon is primarily to solve that problem, or at least initiate solutioneering. Therefore, The 36 hour Hack is aimed at building mobile healthcare solutions for rural india. The VIN and Embassy led initiative is also been jointly supported by our other key partners Philips, UNFPA, Persistent, DSM, Manipal Hospitals, Maastricht UMC.
Diplohack Ottawa 2015 // #HackingConflict, 27-28 May 2015.
On May 27-28, 2015 in Ottawa, Canada six multi-disciplinary teams undertook a #DiploHack Challenge to consider how social media, big data and/or new technologies can be leveraged to hack through the fog of war and empower non-violent actors seeking to transform their national/regional conflicts. #HackingConflict was co-organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, The SecDev Foundation (Canada), the Canadian International Council and in partnership with Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada. The event emphasised the political like-mindedness of Canada and the Netherlands in international affairs, and the vast potential for creative, political cooperation to solve difficult global challenges.

At the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict the Dutch Embassy in London, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, MakeSense and Chayn combined forces to offer a #EndSVCHack Diplohack for envisioning and designing technical solutions to combat sexual violence in conflict.

Diplohack Tblisi // UNDP Innovation Challenge, 24-26 April and 30 May- 1 June, 2014.
Diplohack // UNDP Innovation Challenge calls on citizens to submit innovative ideas for improving cooperation between citizens and decision makers for solving social problems. In short, we are asking them to submit proposals for innovative solutions, technical or non-technical, to resolve problems they are facing on a day-to-day basis. These problems can be related to a wide range of topics, including crime, traffic, government services, waste, green spaces, etc. Successful models will be eligible for further funding and development. The best ideas will be rewarded with prizes, and will receive a micro-grant to pilot their projects for a three-month period.

Stockholm Initiative for Digital Diplomacy (#sidd), 16–17 January 2014
In January 2014, the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt brought together a group of senior officials at the forefront of digital diplomacy for a 24-hour diplohack in Stockholm. A dozen diplomats from all over the globe worked together with some of the best minds from academia and research, business and the media to produce concrete, feasible solutions for the diplomacy of the future.

#DiploHack Tallinn was organized within the framework of the International Human Rights Day to increase awareness of the topic of Internet Freedom, bringing together professionals from different fields and to find tech solutions to challenges related to internet freedom. Topics of the event were, among others: surveillance, privacy, transparency, content removal, protection of journalists, internet governance, open data and net neutrality. The event in Tallinn was hosted by the Netherlands Embassy in Estonia, in collaboration with Garage48 and the Institute of Digital Rights. Also, great support is offered by the Swedish Embassy in Estonia.

The First Diplohack, London, 26 September 2013
For Social Media Week 2013, the Dutch and the Swedish embassies in London teamed up to host the first ever #DiploHack event at Hub Westminster, in collaboration with the MakeSense community. The aim of the day was to connect new networks and explore new forms of collaborations around relevant diplomacy topics. The event brought together actors from across sectors (NGOs, diplomats, artists, social entrepreneurs and corporates) to exchange knowledge and collaboratively and creatively solve problems around two challenges: "How can creative collaboration in the arts enhance freedom of speech and tolerance around the world?" and "How open data and technology can tackle inefficiencies in the food supply chain?"
