Why this hackaton?
The hackathon is a continuation of the Creativity Hub workshops on Friday, where particiopants will work out practical solutions for the problems formulated in theseworkshops. Problems that can be solved by tech solutions but were not discussed in the Friday workshops can also be introduced.
The results of the hackaton will be presented on Sunday afternoon in the Internet Freedom Conference for a large audience of participants, journalists, members of parliament, the diplomatic community, and the interested public.
Who is coming?
This event is for about 50 people who are committed to participating in the challenging 48-hour weekend boot-camp event to build new web and mobile applications. We are looking for various skill-sets and roles:
· Designers - mavericks creating visual identity and user-interfaces
· Web Developers - HTML/CSS/AJAX/JS wizards making the design work smoothly in all web browsers
· Programmers & Mobile App Developers - planning technical architecture, writing functional code and testing the outcome or building apps for mobile platforms
· Visionary Entrepreneurs or Project Managers - people with ability to start new business ideas, run teams and deliver on time
· Marketing Gurus - evangelists and sales wizards making the products fly and reach the audience
Diplomats, human rights advocates, civil servants, students, IT students, journalists are all very much welcome!
Additionally we expect everyone interested in internet freedom topics to come and participate in the event.
