Diplohack London
26th September 2013; Hub Westminster

For the Social Media Week 2013 in London, the Dutch and the Swedish embassies teamed up to host a #DiploHack event at Hub Westminster, in collaboration with the MakeSense community.

The aim of the day was to connect new networks and explore new forms of collaborations around relevant diplomacy topics. The event brought together actors from across sectors (NGOs, diplomats, artists, social entrepreneurs and corporates) and consisted of knowledge exchange and collaborative and creative problem solving.

In this case we co-created innovative solutions based on the power of the internet and social media around two specific challenges:

1. "How can creative collaboration in the arts enhance freedom of speech and tolerance around the world?"

2. "How open data and technology can tackle inefficiencies in the food supply chain?"

You are welcome to follow the conversation and share your thoughts on #DiploHack
